Senior Manager / Director, Business Development

Boston / Cambridge, MA (Remote with regional focus)

The Opportunity: 
REV Clinical is a growing, entrepreneurial Clinical Research Organization (CRO) supporting innovative early-phase clinical programs, with a strong emphasis on oncology. As we expand our U.S. commercial presence, we are seeking a high-performing Business Development leader to drive growth within the Boston/Cambridge life sciences ecosystem.

This role is ideal for a proven individual contributor with deep experience selling CRO services into small to mid-size CROs and emerging biotech companies. You will play a critical role in building relationships, expanding partnerships, and directly impacting REV Clinical’s growth trajectory.

Preference will be given to candidates currently located in, or with strong professional ties to, the Boston/Cambridge area.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Drive new business generation within Boston/Cambridge, targeting small to mid-size Pharma and early-stage biotech organizations.
  • Own the full sales lifecycle: prospecting, qualification, solution development, proposals, bid defenses, negotiations, and close.
  • Sell early-phase clinical operations services, with a strong emphasis on oncology programs.
  • Build and maintain long-term, trusted relationships with current and prospective clients.
  • Develop and manage a robust pipeline; consistently meet or exceed aggressive booking and revenue targets.
  • Partner closely with internal clinical and operational teams.
  • Represent REV Clinical at industry meetings, conferences, and regional networking events.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of business development experience within a CRO or clinical research services environment.
  • Proven track record selling CRO services into small to mid-size CROs, ideally within the Boston/Cambridge market.
  • Strong experience supporting early-phase clinical trials; oncology background preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain client relationships.
  • Consistent history of meeting or exceeding sales targets as an individual contributor.
  • Highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (life sciences or related discipline a plus).
